MUNCH is a full-color answer to the question that’s been on all of our minds: “what if there was an action- adventure retelling of The Very Hungry Caterpillar set in the 21st Century with some cryptozoology twists thrown in the mix?" MUNCH follows a boy learning to take care of a caterpillar whose insatiable sweet tooth attracts the attention of a high tech pest control agency. At its heart a story of exotic pet adoption gone awry, MUNCH was partially inspired by my time as a Country Fair Competitive Eater and growing up within 300 miles of the Mothman cryptid. It tells a complete, 76 page story that's suitable for all reading ages.
The project was DIY in its creation and I'm pursuing a similar path for initial publishing. So for now there's two places you can get MUNCH- out of my hands at a Bug Fair or here on this site! If you'd like to be a first reader, order now!

In 2022 I signed a three book deal to complete The Heroes of Olympus series of graphic novels, starting with book 3: The Mark of Athena! For those unfamiliar, The Heroes of Olympus series continues the adventures of Percy Jackson and his Greek demigod friends from Camp Half Blood, introducing them to a previously unknown camp of Romans who aren't necessarily friendly... Mark of Athena is a great jumping on point as the two camps meet for the first time and go on a quest to prevent a Civil War among demigods and gods alike. It ends on a literal cliffhanger that will be continued in the House of Hades graphic novel out later 2024.
Creatively speaking, these are co-adapted from Rick Riordan's best selling novels by myself and Rob Venditti, who provided initial scripts for the graphic adaptation. Mark of Athena is available Now!

Oliver and I started working together on music videos and designing characters, and creating Little Ricky was an early collaboration. ALIEN BOYS came together as a graphic novel over the course of the 2020 public health issue, when videos couldn't be shot and music tours were out of the question. We had a lot of time to craft the story which is a a good read for teens and up, or anyone that's ever suffered under unworkable labor conditions or a bad boss. Oliver Tree Vs. THE KANE CHRONICLES: THE COMPLETE SERIES
Egyptian Myth and Mystery from Rick Riordan and Orpheus Collar
An epic 5,000 years in the Making! The Kane Chronicles follows brother-sister duo Carter and Sadie Kane as they combat the forces of Chaos...aided by famous gods like Anubis, Thoth, Bast, and the like. The three-book series was adapted and illustrated by myself from the original novels by Rick Riordan, and individually created as The Red Pyramid, the Throne of Fire, and The Serpent's Shadow.
Adapting and illustrating The Serpent's Shadow, I wanted an extra level of authenticity in all scenes set in Egypt. So the first step was booking a flight to Cairo for two weeks of intensive sketching and photos... The research trip took me to the Pyramids of Giza and Dahshur, a sleeper train to the ancient city of Luxor a balloon over the Valley of the Kings, onto the backs of many camels and horse carts, and into at least one subterranean speakeasy that would make Indiana Jones blush...
The rest of the work was completed from my studio in Los Angeles. Big thanks to the the ever-talented Stephanie Brown, Cam Floyd, and Aladdin Collar, who provided color assists to the books. For a look at process, Rick Riordan has a good post on his blog.
