Original Works

For boy-named-Orpheus reasons, I've often wondered what a continuation to the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice would look like, with a better outcome for the two.. After several trips to Greece and 156 pages of writing and drawing, that idea became the 156 page YA mythic romance The Eurydissey. First published under the title "Eurydice Lives Again," it tells the original myth, and continues from there!

I'm rolling it out through a touring model, so if you're an educator, librarian, or arts center administrator, I'd love to bring the program to you. Currently booking for Fall 2026.

MUNCH grew out of a curiosity about what it would take to raise a real-life Pokémon-like creature, informed by my own experiences trying (and often failing) to care for wild animals I adopted as a kid in Maryland, about 300 miles from the first reported Mothman sightings. The story developed into became a graphic novella about a kid who takes in a Very Hungry Caterpillar with an insatiable sweet tooth, following their unlikely friendship as it metamorphoses into a full-fledged Mothman action caper while they attempt to escape a high-tech pest control agency.

ALIEN BOYS tells the real-life story of multi-platinum recording artist, director, scooter stuntman, riding companion, world traveler, and friend Oliver Tree. When denied his chosen herbal medicine to overcome the aches and pains from a life in the music industry, Oliver Tree is threatened with replacement by Little Ricky, an Alien with a sick mix tape, in an epic battle that threatens to destroy them both. It also has the distinction of being a Noble, not Nobel, prize-winning graphic novel.

Adaptations

Percy Jackson and its sequel series Heroes of Olympus, written by Rick Riordan, follow children of the Greek Gods saving the world in a contemporary setting. I adapted the graphic novels with artists Attila Futaki and Antoine Dode, and later went on to handle the graphic adaptations of Mark of Athena and House of Hades entirely myself.

The Kane Chronicles Trilogy follows Carter and Sadie Kane as they learn they are "Blood of the Pharoahs" when their father, a reknowned Egyptologist, accidentally unleashes an ancient evil and they must team up with the gods of Egypt to save their family- and the world- from the forces of Chaos. Originally published in hardcover and softcover by Disney Book Group, adapted from the novels by Rick Riordan by yours truly.
